Ongoing difficulties in any relationship can result in stress, anxiety, upset, and frustration. If you are in the midst of conflict with your children, their teacher or another child's parent at school, your boss, a colleague at work or a neighbour next door it can be very consuming and draining.

Issues with a parent, a friend or your own husband, wife or partner can cause huge upheaval in your life.

This is where counselling comes in, it can be extremely helpful in working out how best to manage the difficult situation with another person.

We will look at the dynamics of the relationship which is causing the conflict and I will work to enable you to assert yourself effectively within the situation and work towards the most effective, realistic and positive outcome.

I also offer specific therapy services to couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship. This involves meeting both people involved together in my therapy office and working through the difficulties together over a period of time. I meet both people together as it is important to ensure that both people feel heard, listened to and understood, as this tends to not be happening at home. It is important to have this external support as there are always two sides to each story and then the external view which many times we cannot see, which causes arguments, stress and difficulties which we can work towards eliminating.

The cost of a relationship or couple counselling session (2 people) is €85 per session and generally last 1.5 hrs for the first meeting.

The cost of relationship counselling for an individual who wants to work on issues around their relationships on their own, without the other person present is €70 per session and lasts 1 hour.
